I still think KC can beat NYY in this series. If they win tonight I’ll feel very confident about that

KC can't win if they keep handing out walks.

What would create the bigger media hard on...Yankees vs Mets...Yankees vs Dodgers?
Probably a significant difference in TV ratings with NYY vs LAD and a Subway Series. The media would pump the shite out of that to maximize east and west coast viewership, and I don't know how much they can really do that with two NY teams.
ETA:
A quick search for ratings and I found this article from over the summer.
Sportico - Yankees, Dodgers Lead MLB Ratings Charge on Fox and ESPN
quote:
As Major League Baseball approaches the midway point of the 2024 season, a sudden abundance of nationally televised games featuring the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers has given Fox a leg up in the ratings race.
According to Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, the well-heeled rivals have been all over the airwaves in the past two weeks, and their appearances in the national TV windows have been putting up solid numbers. Fox on June 8 averaged a season-high 2.91 million viewers with the second game of the Yanks-Dodgers set, an 11-3 blowout which still managed to notch the highest turnout for a regular-season MLB broadcast since September 2022.

if he gets that low strike, he will be un-hittable.

Agreed… the dude is flat nasty.

Can Skubal get a second start?

Not in this series.. maybe work in a game five.

I think the plan for him is Game 2 today game 5 Saturday if it gets there. Normal rest minus 1.
edit: I may be wrong on that.

Yes, he would be on normal rest for a game 5
Posted on 10/7/24 at 4:10 pm to catholictigerfan
it's about time for Judge to actually do something in the playoffs instead of being the best regular season player ever

Skubal is so fricking good
Posted on 10/7/24 at 4:12 pm to lsu xman
He would start a game 5 on four days rest.

Cleveland about to go to their pen I think. Even though Boyd is also pitching well, it's hard to beat the Gaurd's pen.

Ok. I stand corrected. He is in beast mode today…
Posted on 10/7/24 at 4:15 pm to dukke v
thought he pull him, it's the third time through.
