800 wins in major college football is a basic metric for judging college football blue bloods. Michigan who has 943 but next year several teams can join them. Texas and Ohio State have 898. Nebraska has 894 and Alabama has 890. That's a heck of an accomplishment.

We just hit 800 this season, we got a while until we get there

Michigan counted wins immediately after teaching the game to other schools. They've still won a frickton of games, but those numbers are inflated

LSU needs 13 wins to hit 800.
So with our current head coach, we'll get there in around 2020.

With Bama math the gumps are around 1500.

Alabama and Ohio State are there too if you ignore their cheating.

We actually have 919 wins. The NCAA just pretends that 29 of those wins never happened.

Shouldn't have been caught cheating.

Ohio State should be 910.

Well....the first instance in '93 involved a player who signed with an agent, changed his mind, and then lied to his coaches for almost an entire year about it. And the second instance involved players loaning their textbooks to friends who were trying to save $80-$100 on book fees. If that's cheating then whatever.
Be that as it may, I was at quite a few of those games from 2005-2007 that officially never happened. Unfortunately the NCAA can't erase my mind. I saw those victories occur. I was party to them.

If you call selling or trading personal items that you own cheating then by all means feel free to do that.

Both of our opponents in those games still count as losses.

Then we have 11 SEC titles instead of 8. Can't have it both ways.

That's actually not true in Bama's case. They had to forfeit (not vacate) 8 wins and tie from 93.

You mean your coach knowing about it and still playing them anyhow?
Posted on 1/2/18 at 6:42 pm to Korin
Knowing that they were selling and trading their personal property?
Posted on 1/2/18 at 6:42 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
And yet you fired your coach.

You need to learn why he was fired. BTW, he learned after the fact.
