5th and last season of Last Chance U just dropped on Netflix

This year they are in Oakland at Laney College.

They are switching to JUCO basketball. I think the plan was for some LA community college this year but COVID may stall that plan.
ETA that Dior kid has my respect, as do a lot of the guys on the team. No scholarships, no housing, no food plan and Dior was working at Wing Stop and sleeping in his car... and playing football. It is the kind of situation that makes or breaks you.

Buddy Stephens being a dumpster fire is what made the show. Most of the players either had major character concerns or didn’t make the grades out of high school. It felt like at any moment that team could self destruct and it was must watch television.

I don’t think Buddy liked how bad the show made him look. Jason Brown didn’t give a shite and Netflix didn’t want to be around a program that is ran by somebody like Jason Brown. I do wish they never left EMCC though, I thought it was really good television and shows the true grind of a juco player at a big program
