Even though LB was a smidge boring it still increased viewers. Indy is getting F1 viewers with the F1 disaster.
Indy 500 will break records this year. F1 on Apple and Nascar on Prime and Indy on major network TV.

Acura announces it will "pause" its IMSA program following the 2026 season ... Marcus Armstrong will have Acura branding for his Indy 500 car as the brand (which is under the Honda banner) increases presence in INDYCAR.

Meyer Shank, expected to operate the INDYCAR entry chartered to Honda when Honda gets a charter in 2028, obviously has many employees working on the IMSA program that Acura will pause after 2026. Whether that means a third MSR INDYCAR (non-chartered) for 2027 remains to be seen.

Palou isn’t my favorite driver, but I do enjoy his greatness. He was like a machine at Barber. Every lap he hit the marks

Yup, his driving skill is just absurd right now. I’d love to see how Max would do in a similar car just for grins. That would be some fun racing. Never happen though

Can you imagine the attendance at races if Max came to Indy? It would be bigger than what Messi has done to soccer here.

It would take Fox handing him 9 figures to do so and even then I doubt he would. But it would sure change Indycar.

Everything I've seen says Legge is the 33rd entry.
The Legacy/JJ involvement might be new, but the 4th McLaren entry isn't new.

Thanks. The Legacy entry might be partially secretly funded by Indycar and Fox helping is my guess. TV and Indy want bump day and its worth a lot of extra viewers.
