I appreciate McAdoo having some fight and not laying down like everyone else.

LOL @ Sexton. Dude must be a mental case. You just knew he was going to crash when he took the lead. I expected Eli to just say in when he was on the top of the box

I could see it now

" I just needed to get into second behind the 23 bike. Eventually he would take himself out"

I agree about Macadoo. The kid has to work for everything his entire career. He was probably the 3rd to 4th best guy his last year in the amateurs and had to work year after year to get any recognition. This kid rode over his head the first few years and got hurt a bunch. He he still roses over his head and gets hurt, but he has the fight of starved pit Bull.

As for Jett, he is an extreme talent, but he’s made quite a few smart arse comments about Macadoo over the years.

Both of the Lawrence boys are fast, but both are pricks. Hunter made the statement about 90’s racing in the press conference last week. What the Lawrence boys don’t understand is someone would have put a fist in their mouth in the 90’s.

Michael Mossiman is really the only one that has stood up to them.

Crazy idea....Sexton shouldn't even try to get a top 3 holeshot. Try for a top 5 so he's not leading until the end of the race he obviously can't handle being in the front.

Forgot what race it was in outdoors last year but Hunter took out Shimoda dirty in moto 1 and Shimoda clowned them both in moto 2.

He just needs to take the lead on the last turn. He wont have time to choke then

Yeah well that fight of a pit bull isn’t doing him much good in this matchup. RJ just showed him how to fight. Grab the tail, match the pace, figure out lines to get the guy when it counts.

The simple fact is nobody in 250 right now can consistently match the pace of the Lawrence boys for 15 minutes and now they know it. Forkner or Sushi maybe could have but they ain’t racing. You start some shite when that’s the case you can’t outrun payback. RJ has finally figured out you fight the fight you can win and don’t kill yourself just to fight.

I believe it was Red Bud, but Shimoda and Jett are best friends.

Jett slammed Mossiman last year and then Mossiman got him back. Mossiman said on the podium that he owed Jett one and they were even now.

Jett quite talking trash about Mossiman and the racing got cleaner.

Rooster, no one said Macadoo had anywhere close to Jett’s talent, but the kid he more fight in him than anyone else in the class.

Jett is a generational talent. He sees things on the track that other guys don’t and then can make it happen. I went to Salt Lake City SX last year. We were watching the first practice and I pointed to an option in the sand section that no one was doing. It wasn’t hard but it would save a half second. Jett came out first lap of second practice and did it, and 450 guys followed. K Dub is the other guy that I’ve seen find line choices like that. Jett seems to be a mix of KDub and McGrath. Mr Smooth and Mr Effortless combined into one.

That was Fox 2 when Hunter took out Sushi. He hit a bad kicker on the brakes and went into a nose wheelie. Definitely sent it to get inside but I don’t think he meant to hit him that hard, but he did. Be interesting to see what’s happens between those 2 going forward.

McAdoo definitely has heart but it won’t do him much good if he’s out injured. Can’t fault the kid just don’t think it was smart racing

Yes, Red Bud us the race Shimoda won the first moto then finished 3rd to win overall.

As for Macadoo, I think he is a 5-8th place guy if he doesn’t ride the way he does. Listen to this weeks Pulp review podcast as they talk about it. It’s pretty funny and true.

When you watch Macadoo ride, he’s very tight and stiff. He’s fighting the whole time he’s riding. What that means to me is that the level of racing that Macadoo has accomplished boils down the the heart and fight in that kid.

Anyone who watched him crash at Atlanta, then go back to the starting line and race, should never question the kids heart.

Question: were y’all as far from the track as it seemed on TV?

Daytona is one of my top want to races to attend!

Went to Daytona twice and did the infield. Atlanta I’ve done twice and will be a third time in a week. Earnhardt stands on the left end are the best IMO. Last year I did center and it seemed like I missed out on the race.

Went to a local race last night at the Houn’ and saw my boy place 8th 65cc as a 8 year old!

Those are events that I need to attend. I’ve done Vegas, Salt Lake City, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans and Tampa and Orlando back in the 90’s.

Have you ever been to an Outdoor National? Those are the bomb!

As a guy who wrenched for a Pro in the 90’s, and raised a son who moved to the expert ranks (off-road racing) at 14, make sure you and your son have fun! Don’t loose that aspect. We did and walked away from racing about the time he turned 18. He’s 22 now and still rides for fun, and at 48, I raced my first race in about 7 years last month. We are both having fun again, but what could have been! I pushed too hard.

One of my closest friends, his son is one of the 2-3 fastest 65cc racers in America, and that’s been my advice to him. His son loves to just ride a dirtbike and just happens to have a factory ride with Rocky Mountain KTM amateur team.

Enjoy every weekend that you ride and race! I’ll always remember every weekend that we spent together racing!

Went to Muddy Creek in 15 or 16. Going to Ironman this year.

I raced Muddy Creek in 92. That’s a beautiful track and layout.

Colorado/Thunder Valley is probably the most spectator friendly national track that I’ve been to. Pits are on the bottom of the mountain and the entire track is above you. Budds Creek is the exact opposite. Spectator areas are up on the hills and 75-80 percent of the track runs in the valley below you.

Unadilla is a have to on my bucket list. I hope to make that one year.

I’m doing Budd’s this year, it’s an hour from my daughter's house. Be there for a week but creeping out Saturday for some me time. Might make it a yearly thing if I can actually ‘see’ some good racing

Rooster,

You will enjoy Budds Creek. I didn’t go for a National. I went for a Husqvarna factory ride/reveal day. A friend and sponsor who owned a Husky dealership took me with him. I was neat because we got to ride all the néw bikes before they were released to the public.

Budds Creek was a fun track to ride and the spectating watching the factory pro’s ride was also really good.

Who wins Triple Crowns tonight?
