That’s because they don’t know.

NOBODY on television is reporting on this. They are avoiding it.
They don't know anything. Nothing to report yet.

that was 19 years ago, news travels faster these days.
Point being they didn't have an extended show to follow the ambulance. Coverage concluded and it broke later that he had passed.
That said once Newman is in the hospital I doubt we hear anything until the team or NASCAR decide to release something, good or bad.

Yeah they didn't say anything about Earnhardt until over an hour after the race.
I knew he was dead when Schrader lowered his net and saw him. He knew too.

I’ve been at the hospital all afternoon and literally turned on the race on the final lap and that’s all I saw. I knew immediately it was bad

Based on the screens, demeanors and radio silence on all fronts I think we’ve lost the first NASCAR star in 19 years. That’s all gut and I don’t know shite though. But this is eerily similar to watching this in ‘01

Yep.
I went to the saloon and a buddy called me an hour later to tell me and I said I already knew.

Joe Gibbs issues an apology for the Denny Hamlin team celebrating winning the #Daytona500 after the Ryan Newman wreck. Says they did not see the severity of it and are praying for him. Somber.

Yea, Schrader’s interview, right after was brutal.

I hope you are right.
But, they aren't running anything...not even on the ticker at the bottom of ESPN.
It seems more like they "know", but have released it yet. I hope I'm wrong.

i hate to say it, but if there was anything at all positive to report, somebody would have said something by now.

Yeah Earnhardt was dead right after he hit the wall. The ambulance was in no rush to get to the hospital either.

That’s bullshite. Joe knew it was bad. He wasn’t celebrating at all. His crew however was.

One thing...
You don't put that much effort into cutting a dead body out of a car. He must have been showing some signs of life.
