Tulane would be really good if they had a few more good pitchers. Right now it’s just Roper, Bates, and the Indian kid.. everyone else is too inconsistent

LA Tech isn’t a bad team, just underachieving big time this year.

If they put it together I can see the Dogs making a run. Pitching has to get better

Waaaat? If a team is not achieving, then that pretty much defines a team that is not very good.

And in the case of the Cajuns, they have been very inconsistent, which means pretty much the same thing, but is also very frustrating as a fan: just when you think they have turned the corner, they blow it. That said, as a fan, I am very much hopeful that we turned a corner this weekend. We shall see....

Cajuns open the week at home tomorrow night against Northwestern State before going to NOLA to face Tulane on Wednesday night. Then, they face App State in Lafayette for the conference home opener.

Like you said, just when we think we have turned the corner, we disappoint. Hopefully, we can continue this momentum and have a good week.

Huh? Teams absolutely can underachieve. I'm not saying that the case with LA Tech, but it happens all the time.

Sorry, if they underachieve, then they are not a good team. I just don't get how you can not perform well, but still say they are a good team.
Good teams perform well, consistently, and if they don't, then they are not a good team.

agreed. I don't know how many more 2 OOC game weeks there are left, but I should hope not many.
And BTW, just saw that Robe said in his presser today that Lahare and Bourgeois might be out for the season. Ouch.

An underachieving team is a team that has talent but can't put it all together on the field consistently. They are capable of playing at a level they haven't achieved. Therefor they are underachieving.

agreed....but if you have talent and they consistently don't acheive, then I do not think you can call that a good team. Good talent, yes, but good team, no.

Hayden Cantrelle hit for the cycle tonight. 4 homers in his last 3 games. Cajuns up 8-3 top 9

Hard to imagine the jealous type of people it takes to downvote your post. LOL

This kid deserves the kudos...pretty rare event.

Taking one game at a time, but have to admit I am much more optimistic after this weekend, and especially last night. NWST is a legit team, so the W feels pretty good.
Now that Gunner is out for Friday, and Shutlz is taking his place, wonder who will get the start tonight.

yep, per the DA: arm inflammation. But the article starts with a good write-up of Cantrelle.

Leger to skip start

Tulane is kicking our butts but Cantrelle just went yard again. 6-2 in the 5th.
