I forgot nothing. He was treated as the second coming of Jesus even before he ran. They just couldn’t get him to a race.
Mendelssohn was criminally mismanaged and ridden but that’s ok. At least he was sound and from a broodmare line that passes soundness on. Justify... not as much.

He wasn’t a very sound horse. His half sibling that should’ve brought millions this week (and there were plenty of big spenders there) failed to meet his reserves or crack seven figures, despite being from a very commercially popular stallion who is now dead. I’m guessing the pre sale vet checks showed issues that the mare is passing down.
