The NHL offside review on goals later in the play is the absolute worst in all of major league sports. It's laughable.

My favorite is when they throw it in the zone and keep it in there for a minute and a half. Then they score, and they review a potential offsides that happened 2 minutes ago.
Like hey, maybe they scored because you couldn't clear the puck for a ridiculous amount of time.

I agree. The review has to be balanced.
What recourse does a team have on offense when an offside is called?
The only one to challenge would be the team that just had a goal scored on them. The offensive team can't challenge a bad offside call moving into the attacking zone.
Baseball: both teams can challenge to the benefit of their team. Out/safe. Fair/foul.
Same for football with out of bounds/ catches / TDS

It's basically like when an official rules a guy down on a run when he wasn't. Or rules a sack/fumble an incomplete pass so the play is dead.

I don't think there is an NHL fan that is comfortable with that offside review rule.

Then shouldn't someone have scheduled the all the games this round like that in the first place? Seems odd to switch it up in the middle of the series unless other events in the arena is an issue.
