Yep, I faded Thiem and Fed today. Got paid on both. Not upset. Raonic getting crazy odds for tomorrow. I hate the bastard but Murray has been playing 3 sets all week and the shitty conditions favor Milos serve, so we are gonna let her ride.
eta: johnny mac has him playing better, plus he got him to lose that fricking hair gel and arm sleeve.

Kudos to Johnny Mac if we can give him credit for this.
Lendl has Murray playing some inspired ball.

I'm not sure we can, but I am giving him credit for it. Murray is at least a class above Milos, but we are talking one 3 set match with Milos at +200.

Then we've also got Fritz at +175 against fricking Mannarino tomorrow too

It was +195 on 5dimes reduced. Puzzling.

He got his arse whipped. Whiffed on that one. Got Raonic +1.5 Sets, so I'm covered if he loses the last two.

Wimbledon qualies underway. Novikov and Smyczek won today. Harrison and Fratangelo have the pleasure of playing each other first round.Kozlov first round match tomorrow. Tommy Paul, Krajicek and Tiafoe all going tomorrow too. I'm interested to see how they do.

Someone can start the Wimbledon thread. This might be the least excited I've been for Wimbledon in a while. It looks like another Novak-Andy final. The only outright I will probably play is Kyrgios at 25/1.

Nadal, Murray, and Federer withdrew from Toronto. I thought guys would play Toronto and Rio, then skip Cincy for a breather. It looks like Toronto is the sacrificial lamb.

Damn, I was hoping for better odds on Zverev in Washington. He was 8/1 before the Fritz match, so that will go down. No use taking that with all the servebots in the tourney.

I saw just a single game of that match and obviously didn't see enough to pick up any trends because I was surprised when I saw the scoreline. I realize Zverev is the better talent, but I thought Fritz would make things competitive. It does not appear that he ws always able to pull that of. Zverev rolls 4 and 2.
Quick point on Zverev: I can't for the life of me figure out why he's so good. This is not an issue that I generally have. Usually, when a guy is good, it just leaps off the court at you. With Zverev, it doesn't. He sort of just appears to be okay by my eyeball test, but then the results speak for themselves.
What am I not seeing in his game?

I think the question with him is... what CAN'T he do? Great consistency from both wings. His game translates to all surfaces. He seems to love the grind like Thiem. His court coverage is insane.
Check this point at 2:35. If you're not impressed, remember that he's 6'6 and watch it again.

Every time I can't figure out how/why a guy is good, I go with movement/anticipation. It's all I can do with players like Goffin or Simon. Even though Murray is now a physical specimen with a great return and defense, I thought he was a pusher in the early part of his career with no weapons. So, I just figured he moves well and has a lot of variety.

What's up with these non-native Canadians being all good at tennis?

I'd be okay with this Sloane/Giorgi match being the start of a battle bang episode featuring me.
