Well it was a good run. Time for Thiem and the youngsters to to take over.

I'll say this about nole, he has not been serving or protecting his serve all that well since the aussie open. he shows flashes of problems at indian wells but turned it around quick. Thiem should have broken him more than a few times in Miami but couldn't convert.
his service game is definitely not up to its usual standard as of late.

Murray just completely embarrassed Raonic. Djoker and Murray are just brutal matchups for him.
Nadal comfortably takes out Stan. Perhaps Rafa has another French Open left in him. God, please put him on the opposite side of the draw from Djoker in Paris.
Tsonga/Federer up now. Mofeeees should take out Granollers.

Nadal and Murray on Tennis Channel now for the early birds. Tsonga and Monfils come up after that.

Nadal played well. Had a lot on his forehand.

Nadal just took the first set from Monfils 7-5. This match has been a display of ridiculous defense. I fully expect Monfils to tap out in the second set.

Tap out in the third you mean?
Posted on 4/17/16 at 11:06 am to MidnightVibe
The second set was crazy. Monfils got up break 2 or 3 times, but it felt like fool's gold and Rafa would break right back. Monfils showed some guts in winning that set. I think Rafa realized he was playing an equal in moonballs and defense, so he got aggressive and took control of the match.

He played really well in that third set.

That forehand was Del Potro-esque

Will Rafa get to top 4 before RG?

Wow I'm surprised you guys didn't start a new thread after I disappeared.

Good question. I don't understand the ranking points as well as I would like, but it seems unlikely. It would probably take Rafa winning Barcelona and Stan laying eggs in Madrid and Rome.

It's pretty doable.
Stan 6460
Rafa 5595
Barcelona Points:
500
300
180
90
45
20
0
Masters 1000 Points:
1000
600
360
180
90
45
10
0
Rafa points to defend:
800 (600 +20 +180)
Stan Points to defend:
450 (I didn't look up Geneva points, but he lost early anyway)
Rafa will play: Barcelona, Madrid, Rome
Stan will play: Madrid, Rome, Geneva
Doable, I suppose, but it's actually going to be trickier than I thought five minutes ago. He has about 1250 points to go. It has a lot more to do with Rafa than Stan. Rafa probably needs to win Barcelona and then go very deep in both Madrid and Rome.

So, did you get banned or just got tired of the old name?
Posted on 4/19/16 at 2:28 am to MidnightVibe
I'll pass.
Imagine the uproar if Rafa gets drawn into Joker's quarter again. Considering I have Thiem at 60/1, I wouldn't complain.
