I asked you about courses in/around Telluride last year?

The closest thing open when we got there was a Jack course, about an hour away.

Saw lots of elk on the way there.

Good times.

Wow, I can vaguely remember back to '80 & '81. I was still on active duty in the Air Force. What were you doing at the OTC in the early '80s? When I came back from Turkey in '82 I got an assignment to the Chidlaw Bldg which as you know was just up Union Blvd from the OTC.

ETA: I didn't realize I was talking to two, uh, more experienced posters. Do you guys remember Johnny Miller's 63? If not, you'll hear about it this week

I never got down around Telluride. I had to slow down on the way to work this AM to let 4 Pronghorn antelope cross the highway.

Johnny's 6 months older than me so I remember his final round 63 at Oakmont.

To be honest, I doubt that Johnny will discuss it much. Dan Hicks on the other hand might mention it once or twice.

I played a funny sport called Team Handball in college...We went to the Natl Tourney there 2 years in a row...I don't remember much about the place...we drank a LOT of Coors then...Most of the games were at 2 high school gyms but we all stayed in the dorms at OTC...

I know, I was talking about these other geezers. And yes, 5 years unless we get into the whole half years deal.

Couple weekends ago at my alumni softball tournament one of the girls asked my buddy " how old is your little boy?" I spit out half a miller lite when he came back with "31 months"

Oh, I'm familiar with team handall. The cadets played it as an intramural sport when I was at the Academy in the '70s. If you played at high schools, I suspect it was probably Wasson & Mitchell?

I think it torched her scalp too, and face. She recovered well, you're right. But still, that would be rough to have happen to your wife.
