got in @ .07 and sold my ripple for more TRX

I don't remember if it was rocket to TTT who said FUN had a lot of potential - that's one you big boys might want to take a hard look at

I think I'm going to pull out some of my xlm and put into FUN, and get a little more TRX...

I hate lowering the amount of XLM I have, but TRX seems to be a sleeping giant, similar to XLM

I'm probably no more seasoned on this stuff than you are, but I'm not sure I'd be selling off any coins...unless you're swing trading. But from what I've seen, you just don't have any idea on when the next big wave is going to hit...and from which coin the wave is going to hit.

This stuff seems to work for people in a many different ways. Anyway...just something to think about (which sounds like you).

Quick buys trying to catch rallies is dangerous business.

So, if I have a coinbase account and want to buy XLM (ripple?), what's the process?

xlm isn't ripple. XRP is.
Open a GDAX account (owned by coinbase)fees are cheaper than coinbase
transfer BTC LTC or ETH to gdax.
Transfer to binance
Purchase what you want.

I decided to trade a little on xlm instead of going to trx, and I'm up 350 coins now

see, thats the logical argument and id agree with you 100% on a mature market

this market is extremely immature though and what we're observing is that you can throw money at nearly any low priced coin (under $1) and it will continue to rise

for now, its best not to think too much. for example, i sold TRX after a 50% gain in one day because "this will clearly start correcting soon" - it goes up 70% more only because its so cheap to buy

I already have 8k coins of TRX, but I have $800 sitting on a trash exchange that I want to dump into TRX and FUN... but the trash exchange is filled with AIDs and the assholes in the telegram group are half the reason

But seriously... with the new interest in cryptos, all of this small, stupid servers are taking a massive beating, and it needs to come back so I can move all of my coins back to safer exchanges... frick AIDs exchanges ever again

So I need a binance account as well to buy XRP

Can someone give a quick breakdown of the different options...fun, xlt, xrp, etc and which are the more attractive long term (+6mnths)?

Yes gdax is only for the big 3. Binance for most of the other crypto. Don't know what to tell you on long term. I feel good about FUN long term but I'm really new to this

Very true. But what are you doing to buy those low priced coins? Selling off other coins? I haven't gotten into day trading/ swing trading...still very new to a lot of this. But I now know that in this market, a coin can shoot up out of damn near nowhere.

Kind of like this. I guess I find myself being more of a "hodl" person...at the moment at least. I just want to accumulate as much coin as possible. I've found myself making the mistake of selling off coins to try to catch a rally, and ended up buying way too high (rookie mistake in this new market). Like I said though...it's risky. But I guess that's for each person to decide to take.

I appreciate your input on this crypto talk. You give pretty sound guidance.

to put it simply, you trade in coin pairs: TRX/ETH (for example)

if you buy TRX youre hoping it outgains ETH while youre holding it.
if you believe ETH is going to move higher, youre better off just holding that.

with that said, as long as both ETH and TRX are increasing in value, youre still making USD gains.

I definitely understand selling off ETH for TRX. I don't own any major coins at the moment. All alts.

What I'm calling risky business is people selling off XRP or XLM for TRX right now.

And I wouldn't advise anyone to sell off ALL of any coin. Maybe later down the road...but certainly not now.
