We bought a year old Avalon with low miles. I noticed when shopping that all the East Texas dealers had one or more such cars on the lot.
Who are all these folks trading in year old cars? I figure they had to be former rentals. The dealer said they were; there had been an auction in Dallas, and all the dealers in the area bought them.
We bought the car, and it had been fantastic.
A friend works for Enterprise. All she does is deliver "retired" rentals to dealers all over LA and AR. They are everywhere, and you won't know unless you get a CarFax or other title history.
