Add me to that crew. If anything I expect to pay Social Security taxes my whole life but receive nothing.

I do not expect to see a dime of Social Security, and I don't think I will get any tax relief on my Roths.

I figure they won't ax either program, but they'll make them wealth or income dependent. So you can get SSI, but only if you haven't saved X dollars in your 401K/IRA. And your Roth IRA won't be taxed, unless you have over X dollars in it. Because then you'll be "rich" and won't deserve any tax breaks; really it's the "working man" who deserves the tax breaks. Because if there's one thing our government is good at doing, it's punishing people who make good economic decisions while rewarding people who make stupid or shortsighted economic decisions.

Not that I'm bitter.
