karma -- p man may have been giving you the ropadope. cause any way you slice it, that 20 mill is income.
btw 20 mill falls under the the doube comma rule and qualifies you to become upperclass. doesn't mean that you are guranteed a spot in the upperclass, but you at least qualify.

I think it's clear that the question was referring to the monetary upper class and not the social class.

then the double comma rule applies.

Back to the original question: what is considered middle and upper class in louisiana?
Class is primarily based upon family history (peerage) and wealth.
A. Personal income is not one of the factors that determines family history.
B. Personal income is only one of many factors that can be used to determine wealth.
• Wealth cannot be determined without a consideration of assets.
• One can be wealthy without income. See Trust Fund Babies.
• One can have a high income without being wealthy.
• Income can only make someone wealthy if it is joined with the proper expenses and duration.

Right
And someone raking in 700K a year will have double comas in the net wealth department in a relatively small amount of time

i dont understand the debate here..
if someones makes 300k, they are obviously upper class financially. we're not talking about social class or how much of that money they decide to spend on crap. the financial classes are defined on your annual income.

So you're saying that terms like middle class have no meaning?
You're talking about social class, not monetary class which was clearly the topic in question when the thread was started.

in your world there is no lower class, middle class, etc? if so, how do you define it?

But in all seriousness
Anyone who claims someone making 700K a year is middle class is extremely stupid
