This reminded me I own a bit of CVX I never look at because it hasn't done well. I checked performance hoping I had missed some big run up. NOPE! Sure enough, it's only up 3.6% over 5 years (that's after 2% climb today) meanwhile S&P 500 is up 108%. Dividends are for suckers and old folks.

People should know what they own. These are crappy risk reward plays, yield be damned.
Anything paying double digit yields should generate a hefty amount of skepticism.
