They are by far the best GPU maker today. AMD is far behind as a second. And basically people think that GPU power is going to be essential for the future of AI on desktops.
Also, NVIDIA is looking at ways AI can help programmers code and rinder environments for gaming.
Intel produces generic processors. They are not as specialized as NVIDIA in the GPU space, so much they are not as specialized as NVIDIA.
Prime example of NVIDIA specialization people are missing, Grid processing to divide GPU cycles in virtual desktops. NVIDIA wants to put AI power behind how those resources are divided.
