Reinvest those dividends instead of sending them to your checking account, real easy these days with fractional shares. $5 or $500 I just throw it back in. It’s not even real money in my mind in the sense I have no intentions what so ever of using it for current expenses

No offense, but did ya read the thread ?
In a vacuum, your unsolicited advice is solid.. but people have different goals.. if one’s goal is to stop working, and live off of passive income streams, including dividends flowing into your bank account on a monthly and/or quarterly basis, then having them direct deposited makes sense .
