quote:The online version has everything the CD does.
My taxes are not complicated but they are not this simple.
quote:correct
I would have to pay for the online version anyway
quote:ok. Ftr, you never have to install the online version, so reinstall is never an issue.
I like to have the CD so I can reinstall it if necesssry.
quote:That it offers the same service as the CD, without the need to download or install the software onto your hardware.
What am I not understanding about TT online?

I am truly surprised they still sell Turbo Tax cd's
If your taxes are simple, the federal online version of turbotax is probably free for you. The service I use is $10 to file state. And it saves everything you input from the prior year, so in easy years when I take standard deduction, it takes about 10 min to complete my return. Also my computer doesn't have a disk drive

Yep. CD vs online vs free is a different topic altogether.
Sounds like Intuit has fixed the activation code problems users were having early on.
Thanks for all the feedback. I'll spring for the Deluxe edition CD soon.
