You mean his social distancing guidelines? There is no national quarantine. The social distancing guidelines are separate from what some states are doing by operating under quarantines.

Seems that the states would keep the hot spots quarantined and let the rest of their state operate under the national guidelines. Hope this is the way they go.

This, and the green light by the FDA To use hydroxychloroquine will hopefully keep the market somewhat stable

The markets reaction is equivalent to that of a 2 year old to me.

Who didn't already know this was going to extend at least till the end of April?

well, yeah, the average investor is just emotional and sensitive.

we can speak objective truths on this board that simply makes ppl emotionally uncomfortable and they will downvote to feel better about the situation despite it being a reality

I think the issue is that there is a large range of speculated expectations with the economy. For those who expected it to last until the end of April and beyond, there was no change. There were some folks who expected it before the end of April. Even if that is small percentage that is still a change for them. If 95% thought it was later than the end of April and 5% thought it would be earlier, there would still be a net negative effect. With all of that being said, the Dow and S&P are both up currently.

If we arent down 3% at the least tmrw, I would be shocked. The buying window is going to get reopened and extended. You're right though, nothing different really changed.

^Yea, I give up on guessing at this market on a daily basis.

I'm just going to stick to picking away at the stocks I want.
