BREAKING: Inflation rose 0.6% May -- more than expected and following a 0.8% rise in April and 0.6% in March
Prices are up 5% in the past year -- the largest increase since 2008.
It's not just food and energy costs going up. CPI ex food&energy is +3.8% -- highest since 1992

When the Fed or any govt. goon says “there is no inflation” or “it is transitory” then what they are REALLY saying is “there isn’t ENOUGH inflation for OUR liking. We won’t be happy UNTIL we inflate away the govt. obligations while we pour the paper wealth of the 99% into our slush fund that we divvy up in the clubhouse.”

@IanShepherdson: In the March forecast round, the FOMC expected core PCE inflation in Q4 this year to be 2.2%. The highest forecast was 2.5%. Right now, it's on track for 3.5%.

If CPI is showing 5%, real inflation must be double digits right now

keep in mind that that cpi number isn't even considering real estate
because they've conveniently labelled real estate as "asset price inflation" .

Is there any way for the individual investor to combat inflation?
Or is it best to just sit on your current stocks and ride the inflation wave?

the most popular thing today is buying real estate that's why hedge funds like black rock are buying all the single family home supply
this is also one of the main reasons real estate prices are not going to come down anytime soon.
