re: Tips on reducing costs of a big vacation

When traveling, especially out west, look into staying at mom & pop motels. I'm not talking about fleabag dumps but smaller non chain places. Service is usually good, rooms are clean and who stays in their room if you are on vacation. The little lady and I have had some good results doing this and met some great people in the process.
