Thoughts on Nok?

Thinking of adding some Nokia to my portfolio as a long term play. Decent dividend and should be in the middle of the 5G revolution. Thoughts?

Huawei ban has juiced Apple, Ericsson, and Nokia. I’m in all three along with Qualcom as we gear up to 5G. ERIC & NOK were added when the UK joined the Huawei ban earlier this month.

They put it on "pause" back in November.
I have held this since before the sale of the cell phone business to Microsoft and they transitioned to a network company.
They have decent room to run, but I believe 5G transition will not be huge for them. It will be a slow growth, but even with the bans on China this time around long term they can not compete on cost.

Their numbers should continue to improve as they pick up on a portion of what Huawei lost. Lots of good partnerships, new CEO(investors didn't like Suri), and it's going to be a hot trending sector. Bought a good bit for a swing play a couple months back but decided to hold. Bullish long term outlook. It moves like a snail though.
