Thoughts on Essential Federal Credit Union?

Have been looking around to join a local credit union and saw EFCU.
Rewards Checking is a pretty good checking account I'm assuming.

Yeah I’ve looked into both of them also. My problem is I barely use my checking account/debit card. Everything I pay for is with my CC’s.

I have checking accounts with EFCU and Campus Federal. I earn 3% on the EFCU account and 1.97% on the Campus Federal account. Both are only up to $10,000 and everything over that, the percentage is significantly reduced. I highly recommend.

Banked with LADOTD FCU for 20+ years. They switched to Main Street, then to Jefferson. The latter was horrible. So I bailed and settled on Essential. They’ve been fantastic. Have my auto loan with them and my business account with them also.

FYI, that is not Essential FCU. Essential is formerly Dow FCU.
