Paid mine off a couple months ago. Made sure to pay em off while interest was zero so the gov would get the bare minimum. Then in a meeting last week our director at our hospital said they are gonna pay off up to $24k for all employees student loans. Of course.

Loan forgiveness programs have been around for over a decade. A ton of non-PSLF are going to reach forgiveness in next 10-20 years (with a tax hit unless law is changed).

That's usually in lieu of receiving a 401k/403b contribution I believe, but if it's really a cherry on top that does suck.
