Recently rolled over an old 401K to Vanguard. Kept $10K out of my allocation to trade the tape when volatility arises.

Any good picks out there?

Well is relative. As long as there are decent swings up and down. Trade in, trade out. Recognize profit. Rinse, repeat.

You’re not lying. Was near $325 a share before today. Now trading at $297 a share. Am I crazy to pick some up at $295-ish , then put a sell order in for $325? In, out.

Rather than playing hit or miss directional stock picks, have you considered learning how to sell (option) premium on high IV securities? With a diversified basket of high IV underlyings, you aren't necessarily forced into picking a direction to make decent returns... with defined risk. You can pick a direction if you want to, but you can also select nondirectional/neutral strategies.

Just a throwing that out there for you.

If TVIX gets under $26 again load up the truck. Sit, wait, unload for a double at the next hiccup.
