NEED HELP!

What should one do now if he / she had millions with Stanford? Contact attorney? If so, any recommendations? Thanks.

Well...apparently, it won't do any good calling the BR Stanford office. As of yesterday (per my in-laws), they weren't answering their phone. Hard to believe, but I heard this from someone who called numerous times. Maybe their lines were busy, but this smacks of the end days of Enron. OK, probably (?) not that dire, but still has some of that same feeling.

Don't be. Much smarter to accept it as a zero and then be open to being pleasantly surprised.

I am somewhat optimistic that at least some money can be recovered for these clients. Some investors were the movers and shakers, but there were a lot of mom and pop accounts there as well. People who wanted to be safe and invested in a "cd".

Good point...I don't have a dog in this hunt, but hopeful for my family and friends.

By the way:

"Stanford also sponsors professional golfers Vijay Singh, Camilo Villegas and David Toms as well as Morgan Pressel on the LPGA Tour." -Wikipedia

By which mechanism do you propose funds from a Ponzi scheme to be recovered for "mom and pop"?

I work for an AV rated firm in Houston that solely does business litigation. It might make sense to consider a Texas law firm since the civil suit was filed in Dallas. If you are intersted, we can take a look at your case. You can give us a call at (713) 526-9555.

What money you have left will be taken by the lawyers trying to recover your money.
