Absolutely, I agree with this. But I have seen many people that do not have or seek out access to that kind of advice. I watched my wife's step sister raise her childern in financial chaos. The foundations for anything approaching common sense are woefully lacking.

One of the things he puts in front of listeners every day is that even modest financial means managed reaonably can easily lead to self suffiency. We need a double helping of this all day long. If he can get people on that path then maybe they will look for a little less of your tax dollars and mine to fund their poor financial decisions.
