Self directed IRA...anyone familiar?

Heard a podcast about this as a real estate investment vehicle. Is anyone familiar and educated on this type of IRA?

You can do anything with a self-directed IRA...buy real estate, a business, etc...

Same here. I began looking into it a few months ago, but haven't gotten into the fine detais yet. I'm looking specifically at rental real estate.

Check out the PENSCO group. They're trustees for self directed IRAs and their website has a lot of great information.
