Just found out my dumbass mother-in-law had listed my wife as an authorized user under her credit card. Looks like she was added a little over a year ago and now dumbass MIL has racked up about 9k in debt. It hasnt had much affect on my wifes credit, but Im sure it will if she remained as an authorized user.

I had my wife call and the bank removed her as an authorized user.

Anyone know how long it takes for her credit score to rebound and be clear of this debt?

Its a known reported record and it can stay on there 10 years for good standing and 7 years for bad. Unless the bank chooses to remove the entry instead of just stop reporting.
