must not forget that there is no supply limit and as many Doge can be "printed" as needed
So Dogecoin is like American Dollar now whereas Bitcoin is like the American Dollar when it was still the on gold standard??

quote:Lol, I am literally an ape and I know this is wrong, you may want to update your DD on Doge.
People that actively try to promote doge without recognizing that it is legitimately a meme coin give the crypto people a bad look
*need I remind you people made bank on a meme stock so,,,,

there are ~900 minted bitcoins per day, until 2140, there will only ever be 21 million bitcoins
the circulating supply of dogecoin is infinity. its a dumb normie coin bought by people who have no idea what theyre doing

I'd also point out that the american dollar today has the military which keeps the value of the dollar. Doge has nothing but a dog meme.

What if this changes to a set amount? Who says it has to stay at infinity?

then my thesis of dogecoin would change but that discussion would be known well in advance. im not going to invest into a coin because "maybe someday the ecosystem will change" - thats absurd

When did news start happening with bitcoin becoming a digital gold store of value?
Posted on 3/10/21 at 11:43 am to 21JumpStreet
the digital store of value idea has been around forever; chamath has a video from 2013 saying it would replace gold as a store of value
the digital currency narrative just became more popular than the SoV narrative so thats what most people latched onto
