Pros and cons: Navy Federal

I just opened my account a few days ago and was wondering what sets NFCU apart from the rest. Any benefits that are unique to NFCU? TIA.

no PMI on mortgages is why I went with them.

Been with them since 2004. Never had any issues and always have decent rates. Just recently switched over to using USAA. Highly recommend using both

Is Navy Federal the same as Pentagon Federal (PenFed)?

Pros:
Best customer service out there
Really good rates. (when I bought my first car dealership asked if I was using a credit union, I said either NFCU or USAA. They responded with a I can not get a number close to them)
Cons: Locations (however how many times do you need a physical location?)

There are 2 locations in Algiers- one on Gen DeGaulle and one in Federal City. Still a good trip from the northshore, but you don't have to go all the way to Belle Chase.
