Anyone ever encountered this business practice?

I've gone on about 3 or 4 job interviews where the interviewer told me there biggest worry was I was too overqualified.

I have an MBA, but not much work experience in a related field, therefore most jobs tell me I have no work experience, but when I apply for entry level type jobs so to get my foot in the door, I'm told i'm overqualified.

And this is why to this date, I have completely wasted my money on an MBA.

Haven't you read the book How Starbucks Saved My Life - its about a NY marketing guy in his 60s who gets dropped by his company and messes up his marriage and looses all of his money. Ends up taking a job as barrista and gets a new take of whats important in life. Very interesting little book - Tom Hanks has bought the rights to make the movie.

I've heard even part-time Starbucks employees get benefits - I've thought about it just for the health insurance.

Yes,

I used to work at a finance company and we administered the Wonderlic test. We didn't hire anyone below a 25 and no one over a 38.
