What a lie. No one has presented any information that I ignored. The little "information" presented on why LINK is so wonderful I have countered that those things presented are being done by other coins and then I get no counter to that and is ignored.
I am still open to hearing what LINK is claiming they will offer that no one else claims they too will offer.

Just look at the digital ecosystem Link has built through crypto partners, fintech, and legal services all saying they will be using the Chainlink decentralized oracle network for api data into the contracts. Look at the 10K node calls from the first 3 nodes live on mainnet providing the data. I’ve given the answers multiple times about what makes them unique and who they are working with and linked to but you ignore it.

Saying? Anything firm on that in writing like a contract? Because that could be subject to change otherwise.

Maybe way earlier in the thread but you have not given these details when I have asked so I appreciate it.
I will look into what you are presenting and see what I think of it. Thanks

That link doesn't do what you think it does IMO
It's a partnership between two startups best I can tell?
Does one of them offer something proprietary? Why should I be excited about the partnership and what does it mean for LINK?

How about this link? You can do your own research if you don’t understand that almost every crypto project worth a shite has announced the intent to use Chainlink to bring data into their smart contracts.

I guess this is the issue where we won't see eye to eye.
Who is to say which crypto project is "worth a shite"
I don't see much to distinguish one from the other right now. They all use the same PR/buzzwords and all say they will do the same thing. None of them offer anything proprietary over the other.

One thing that baffles me about Etheruem is how much is being built on top of it and yet they still have no scaling solution. Apparently everyone is just assuming they will release an update at some point that will allow the network to scale and support all of this activity. My understanding is that as of now the network can only handle 15-25 TPS.

Which is why Chainlink using threshold signatures is pretty huge.
Posted on 6/12/19 at 11:46 am to CE Tiger
What is it and how does it work? Does it effect security and decentralization of the network?
Posted on 6/12/19 at 11:59 am to Douglas Quaid
Basically you aggregate all the data of chain and then combine it into one transaction thus only paying one gas fee. So in Chainlink’s case they can pool thousands of nodes to reach consensus on the data and pay gas for one transaction

You understand all of that math?
Posted on 6/12/19 at 2:56 pm to Douglas Quaid
No but I understand the basics of it. I don’t need to know the code for execution.

Well looks like Google cloud developer has faith...

Below, we'll demonstrate how a specific smart contract platform (Ethereum) can interoperate with our enterprise cloud data warehouse (BigQuery) via oracle middleware (Chainlink).
quote:
To retrieve data from BigQuery, a Dapp invokes the Chainlink oracle contract and includes payment for the parameterized request to be serviced (e.g. gas price at a specified point in time). One or more Chainlink nodes are listening for these calls, and upon observing, one executes the requested job. External adapters are service-oriented modules that extend the capability of the Chainlink node to authenticated APIs, payment gateways, and external blockchains. In this case, the Chainlink node interacts with a purpose-built App Engine web service.
