Can you hold $US on binance if I sell some coins?
Posted on 2/17/18 at 7:50 am to Ron Cheramie
Don’t believe so. Have to buy ETH, BTC etc. with it then send it back to Counbase or Gemini
Posted on 2/17/18 at 7:51 am to Ron Cheramie
NO, but you can keep it in tether (USDT) which mirrors the USD
Posted on 2/17/18 at 7:51 am to Ron Cheramie
No , I think it converts it to Tether ( USDT) not USD.

To me, VEN is a long, multi-year, play. Which is made even better if you can swing a node. Im still scrapping coin together and moving other gainz over to it trying to get a node before coin price gets too far ahead of me.
Think of ot this way... if there are multiple fortune 500 companies using ven, even just for tracking inventory, with billions in items being tracked on the blockchain... they will have significant monetary incentive to ensure the health and wellbeing of the coins and blockchain itself.
I look at it as owning a peice of their blockchain network, which could theoretically be valued by the value of goods/services depending on it. Which could be gigantic couple years down the road.
Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I've only got 206 coins, though, and will not be adding anything to that at this point. So, not sure if holding that little will be worth it. Obviosuly, if it "moons" and hits ETH-type pricing, that would make me very happy. Just trying to weigh out that likelihood. My concern is if I hold it too long and its value eventually erodes to nothing while I'm not paying attention.

There are many ways to get free IOX when testing out the exchange in beta . Wish I would have known sooner and registered for the beta . fML

Was it ever released whether the LTC Cash fork was legit or a scam?
You have to download the Litecoin Core Wallet (5-10 hours), move your LTC on it for tomorrow’s 5:25 pm CST appx snapshot and then move them back to your preferred wallet, leaving the Litecoin core wallet empty.
When the Litecoin Cash wallet is ready, you down load it and import the private key to the now empty Litecoin core wallet to verify that was your wallet and they deposit your LTC Cash tokens into your new LTC Cash wallet.
Then in March, when other exchanges list the LTC Cash, you can transfer them out of your Litecoin Cash wallet, if you want.
How to claim your LTC Cash tokens
ETA: Fork has been moved up to today, Saturday, evening.

Icx up on a little run but there are some significant sell walls.

shite. I’m out of town. Do I need to do all of those steps before the split tomorrow?
Don’t exactly have a desktop computer with me. Only my phone.

Damn. That’s bad timing.
Maybe your wallet will split them off in a month or so?
The time of the split is variable because it’s tied to a fork block, not time. Litecoin Cash site saying 20:36 UTC Sunday, Feb 2018.
ETA: That’s the steps I found. Still looking for more timing info.
There may be a simpler way if you set up an empty Exodus wallet but that wallet is tied to a laptop or desktop. I’ll let you know it I see any phone based solution.

It’s a scam, similar to BCASH. Came straight from the mouth of the LTC developer.
But if you think it has potential to make you money, who cares

Copy. Thanks. Hopefully there’s another answer and I don’t have to task my wife with this.

Isn’t BCash worth over a grand now?
Posted on 2/17/18 at 10:43 am to Drew Orleans
BCash currently $1531

Is XLM still a good play at .47 ? Should have got more when it was in the .30 range but was stacking VEN .
Posted on 2/17/18 at 11:03 am to Bullfrog
Litecoin Cash is not associated with Litecoin. They came up with the name to make it seem legitimate and to make the fake fork to seem like it has Bitcoin Cash potential. BCash came from years of development debate, which is not the case here. This is just a guy telling you he will give you 10 new coins that are not listed on any exchange if you send your Litecoin to his wallet.
As a BitGrail casualty, best of luck to you all on this one. It’s absolutely not worth the risk for me and the ultimate play for greed rather than for the tech.

So what is the downside here?
I don’t see any at all.
With cryptos, you never know which horse will win, place or show. So I’m up to bet across the board when the wager costs nothing.

You don’t see the downside to moving your Litecoin from a reputable exchange / wallet to one specifically set up by the developer of a fake fork using the Litecoin name with zero association to the actual Litecoin project development?
Posted on 2/17/18 at 11:33 am to maclauer
The difference with BCash is that was a legitimate fork and you did not have to move your bitcoin to a potential scam wallet to receive your BCash.
I really hope this doesn’t result in theft or hack because i own a good pile of Litecoin and the price would tank due to no fault of the coin itself. Charlie Lee is saying this is not related to Litecoin, a scam and not to fall for it.
