If it's true (so far info gained from a personal source, still looking for corroboration), I imagine you'd want to move off of Korean exchanges.
You're on binance, which is located in Tokyo/Hong Kong, so you're OK.

Wish I hadn't bought in some more yesterday. Hopefully it stays down long enough for my fiat to "recharge."

Neat just reading up on how fricked I am with my XRB on BitGrail. That’s what I get for signing up for a sketchy exchange and thinking the coins would be safe for a month until Binance listed XRB to transfer over.

Ouch.
If they aren't scamming you, it seems like they could open a Window to let non-EU users withdraw their coins from the exchange.
It's odd that they can use KYC regulations as an excuse for why they are holding your currency hostage, but ignore potential theft laws.

That's good. So long as they don't start following suit.

Would it do any good at all to sell into ETH or BTC and then buy back into VEN given it's current drop?
Pretty sure BTC and ETH have dropped by a higher percentage in the last 24 hours than VEN, so not sure that strategy makes much sense.
ETA: BTC just dropped under $10k, albeit momentarily.

It's done that a couple times today. Almost makes me tempted to buy what little of it I can when it does that. I won't right now. Is there a preference to buy back into ETH vs BTC?

i think there was some kind of warrant issue that was brought up today that was actually from back in december. its apparently been cleared up and some things are turning around again.
ICX has started climbing again a bit. Their summit starts at like 10 tonight so it'll probably start a dump around then unless something very unknown gets announced.

That would be a nice change of pace.

The shitty part is that the XRB withdrawals are “under maintenance” since XRB is fast and feeless — they have to make their scam money and make it as painful as possible.
Have to close account via BTC, and they just so happen to have doubled the BTC withdrawal fee. And because everyone has to do this, the spot price for XRB on BitGrail is well below market.
So they get the trading fees for all non-EU XRB held on the exchange to BTC, the BTC withdrawal cost, and super cheap XRB before it is likely to bounce, for a feeless transfer coin.. Pretty impressive stuff to get theirs before everyone left them for Binance.

So in other words, if you bought into XRB, you just got bent over?

On BitGrail. KuCoin XRBers are fine.

Under .50 cents on XLM - you think that's worth buying more?

I was very impressed with ICON tonight. They seem to be doing things the right way. They’re very professional and know the types of things to talk about (developments, hiring) and what kinds of things they shouldn’t talk about (price, number of followers, etc.) The food was good, the drinks were good, and the people who were there seem very dedicated to ICON and the cryptocurrency space.
My takeaway feeling from the event tonight is that we are not going to be disappointed tomorrow. Keep your expectations in check obviously; This is cryptocurrency. But some of the details I was told by people involved in different projects definitely surpassed my expectations. I’m not going to go into those details right now because I don’t want to spread rumors or misquote things that they said. It was a loud room, and I may not have heard everything correctly. Don’t worry; we’ll get seven hours of information all about these things tomorrow.
A few highlights from tonight:
-Everyone got a weird little paper ICON man. I’m pretty happy about that.
-Min and team seem focused and what we’ve heard before about them being selective with projects appears to be true.
-At least one of the projects previewed is currently planning to have an ICO.
-At least one of the projects previewed involves countries outside of Korea. ICON is already spreading. This should alleviate some fears (read: FUD) that ICON will only ever be in Korea.
-There were probably three professional photographers there taking pictures all night. I’m sure they’ll start sharing a bunch of those soon on the ICON blog or something, and in the next few days, we’ll all be overloaded with pictures.

Well this isn’t the week I was expecting in the least. My crypto exposure is maxed from heavy investing 1/16-17 so I’m just here sitting on my hands getting bent over by BitGrail and the broader market, praying for black history month salvation.
