No, GDAX caused the crash. GDAX and Coinbase are linked as well so coinbase went down as well. You can see this is you look at yesterday's chart - there is a flatlined period for when it went down.
I would recommend Gemini, although good luck getting verified in under 2 weeks.

the GPU market is still fricked up thanks to ethereum
seen in Malaysia
fair warning to anyone wanting to build a mining rig, you will have to pay well over market value for a good card OR hope to get lucky and catch a restock.

it probably could mine ethereum using nicehash.
but will it be efficient or worth it. that I don't know. probably not.
your electric bill will spike, your room will get hot as heck, and you will severely reduce the lifespan of your device.
probably not worth it BUT I am no expert. The hot NVidia mining card at the moment is the 1070 which has 8 GB GDDR5 ram. I don't think the 570 comes anywhere close to this card in the GDDR5 department and that is whats important for ethereum , if I understand correctly

Polo has me locked out for some reason. WTF? Getting a little skittish on the crypto. Don't like having no control of money at someone else's discretion.
I've been transferring limit money out for a few days now. I go in this morning planning to withdraw about $2,000USD. "You are being rate limited."
"The owner of this website (poloniex.com) has banned you temporarily from accessing this website."

Reason not stated, but I have withdrawn about $6,000 in BTC and ETH over the last week in installments. Yesterday I withdrew 6.5 ETH and today - lockout!

I don't understand either. But in my case . . .
Cloudfare let me back in to POLO now. But, the "deposit/withdraw" function is frozen on my POLO account. Apparently they don't take too kindly to withdrawals.

I've withdrawn ETH from Coinbase twice to two different wallets.
And withdrew a large amount of sold ETH to USD on GDAX with no problem. Took 48 hours to hit my checking account.

So I had an old friend telling me about ETH in July 2016. I didn't pay any attention to him. After reading this thread for the past month I decided to text him to see if he actually invested. He showed me screenshots of 1450 ETHs that he bought when it was around $7-$8. If only I would have listened
