Just downloaded Jaxx (desktop client) and moved all my ETH off Coinbase to my Jaxx wallet. Coinbase was starting to spook me with all their delays, fees, downtimes etc.
Is what I've done a safe way to store my ETH (Jaxx wallet)?
Just wanting to HODL for a while...when I want to sell I suppose I'll have to move it back to Coinbase or something.

Do what you want but get setup on something like Gemini. Better fees and no minimums.
I personally keep my ETH on a Nano Ledger, but I have my GNT on Exodus on my CPU which sounds like Jaxx. Seems secure to me.

How much was that nano ledger? I remember people saying they were majorly backordered.

Anyone still buying ETH or just sitting on your current coins?

I bought more on Friday. Usually buy every 2-3 days

What's wrong with keeping it on Coinbase? I thought someone said Coinbase was fdic insured.
Is Coinbase more likely to get hacked?

It is, but there have been quite a few reports of people having their accounts locked/frozen by Coinbase with no explanation and their customer support is notoriously terrible. Essentially, it's risky for people who have a ton of skin in the game because Coinbase could technically lock your shite down at a moment's notice and you could never get it back.
Also their site seems to have a major issue every other day or so.

Is Poloniex safe enough or should I get something else?

Polo is good for trading from what I understand, but I wouldn't store my crypto there (or on any exchange). People recommend moving it to a secure wallet, I just downloaded Jaxx this morning to do this.
Others advocate for "hard" wallets like the Ledger Nano. I may do that eventually but for now, I'm just small potatoes.

Grabbed a few more yesterday at $315. I've been adding a few every time it drops $10-12. Usually it bounces right back up. Of course, that is subject to change at any time...
