Can someone explain to me why I should be holding my VET, or any other currency, in my own personal wallet vs keeping it all on an exchange site? And what personal wallets are out there? What does a personal wallet do that exchanges like Coinbase, Binance, Gemini, Kucoin, etc. don’t do?

1. I've been spinning the wheel daily for a couple weeks now, won another 10K sats this morning
, when you cash out, do the sats transfer to Coinbase ( or any other wallet), or do they just deposit cash into your bank account?

Because you risk getting hacked when it’s on public exchanges, it’s happened before. Once it’s transferred to your personal wallet and moved offline, it can’t be hacked unless someone takes your wallet (steals your computer or ledger or whatever)

the odds of a newbie losing their coins in a private wallet are much larger than coinbase getting hacked lol

If you’re a newb with limited money in the game leaving it on Coinbase and/or transferring to a BlockFi or Celsius savings account is preferable. Once you learn more and accumulate more you can decide if moving to cold storage is something you want to do.
