My PayPal got hacked

So my PayPal account that I never use anymore was hacked. The offenders made 3 purchases; Farfetch UK, Newegg.com and backcountry.com. Total was approximately $1,700 for all three purchases. Because they used PayPal it has the shipment address as some place in ILLINOIS for all 3 purchases. PayPal said they are investigating it and I even got a DHL shipment alert in my personal email.
Should i do anything with this address or just leave it be? Who knows if it’s the actual address of the hacker or a drop house. I googled the address and it’s in a low-income area (suburb projects).

Are they crediting the purchases to you immediately, or are they in disupte?
I've got a little situation going on with them right now that has been a nightmare....
ETA-I'm starting to wonder if they are totally necessary at this point, or if there are better alternatives. I've used FB messenger and venmo to send money and I feel like my credit card company protects me for online purchases...

it appears they are crediting them. I have already received some of the money. PayPal is the one that notifies me of these suspicious charges. Again, I never use PayPal and after this is cleared up I’m going to close my account. Too many other choices (Venmo, bank, Apple Pay, etc) For me to deal with this!
