Does anyone worry about the election? Does it change market strategy etc? I’ve put every penny extra the last 3 months and I’m not a fan of losing it. Any advise?

If you need the money in the near future, you shouldn’t have every penny in stocks. If you don’t need it in the near future, you won’t lose it because of something like an election.

Actually having a Democrat in office does better for the stocks.

This is technically not true although charts will show that’s the case. What really happens when a republican is president and loses to a Democrat is the market will correct in the lame duck period on fears of regulation coming and higher taxes. Then as the democratic president term goes on the market realizes he can’t and doesn’t get done everything he campaigned on so it rallies. The opposite typically happens when a republican takes over for a Democrat.
