I've been researching a few stocks lately and I think these may have some good potential going forward. I'm not saying you'll double your money in a week, but I think if you're willing to hang on to them for 6-12 months there's a good chance you can make some money.

I'd love to know how much money he's made with his strategy. My guess is that the guy that sold him the book made more money selling books than he ever made in the market.

The market is something that can't really be proven or disproven as far as strategy. I know that is a very generic statement, but all the different strategies have arguments in both directions.

My point was I think he's regurgitating what he read in the book because he believes it - not because he's made a lot of money doing it. And unless he got in it after the collapse - he didn't make any money in an index fund, most still aren't where the were before the fall.
