Who is the best lender to go through right now for investment loans?

It's actually pretty difficult to get a straight up "investment" loan if you aren't talking about real estate.

If you are talking about an equity loan to buy a stake in a closely held business, they are very common and easy to obtain. Just go to your commercial banking relationship. I’ve seen professionals (such as Dr’s) buying into their practice financed through these loans. Also the equity piece for owner occupied real estate is easily financed and very low rates.
If you are talking about a loan to invest in stocks or some other publicly traded vehicle, don’t think I’ve ever seen that. I did know one guy who tapped his home equity and dumped it into stocks in 2009/2010 and it worked out for him but that takes balls of steel and a tolerance for gambling.
