Deepwater or single skids? I have a business degree but recently started as an OA1 cementing about 3 months ago. Just went on my first job this past week. I seriously doubt i want to make a career out of this path but more or less hoping the experience can help me out with different oil & gas jobs in a few years or so.

Anyone else suggest any possible paths to take from here?

Quit and start over now. There are really no other jobs you can move to from cementing in the O&G business and your room for advancement is pretty narrow.

DW.... I'd try to get into the field operating professional (fop) program. Pretty much a fast track to become an offshore Cementer now. They make good money and eventually down the road you can prob do something in the office. FYI offshore jobs are a lot better than land jobs.
