If the federal government had knowledge of their own blundering, which had got 3 people killed, and you injured, how much could you get from them in total in a lawsuit against them? Anyone have the slightest clue?

The VA has made 4,353 malpractice settlements since 2006, for an average award of $200,000. The number of cases per year has risen from 322 in 2006 to 541 last year. Eight cases have involved settlements of $1 million or more.

Just to give you some kind of baseline. I think that's about the most common way you will see the feds "kill" someone.

Google Federal Tort Claims act as a start. Ive never had a federal Death case but I would imagine damages are similar to a federal claim against a private defendant.

Get in touch with an attorney. Even if you can't afford one someone will do it for a cut of the proceeds.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to find an attorney who specializes in suing the feds.
