My son wouldn't do any jobs for me for 10 bucks an hour but he would do them for a neighbor for 5 bucks an hour. Kids just don't like working for parents.
My daughter would not do any work or chores for anything. She was a princess and spent her time polishing her nails.
Now that they are adults... Son really bought into wise money management and he's doing well. Daughter married a rich guy and she's doing better than son.
