Dutch Bros started in AZ. I tried them when I was in Phoenix in 2019 and was impressed with their service. It’s a drive through but the employees were great. They had a IPO last year and I thought about buying but it was insanely overpriced. Got as high as $70 and as low as $20 since then. They are $35 now but I don’t think $20 was justified on earnings. They would have to grow faster than any chain in history to justify the pricing. I like their product but I wouldn’t buy it now.

IIRC correctly you're from Huntsville. They're opening a few locations in the metro in the near future. Definitely seem to be growing a lot and have a bit of a 'cult' following it seems like - similar to Whataburger.

I went in PHX and the place was packed 3 straight days. Uber driver said they had to close one via city ordinance in Scottsdale because it was messing up morning traffic so bad.

they closed one at scottsdale and mcdowell and another one on central and camelback for just this reason. both are pretty busy intersections and the traffic was insane. I've only been once and the coffee was meh, though admittedly i am a coffee/espresso snob. the newer builds seem to have giant drive-through areas and they handle the orders a bit like chick-fil-a.
