NASDAQ cancelling trades +/- 60% for today. Still confidant in the system?

Why not reset whenever there is a huge rally?
If you don't like the system, I suggest you get out of the market. I sure would if I felt the way you do.

'Old age is getting to him. Being senile and all...'
Can't resist the ad hominem pile on eh?
If you azz hats continue to find mkt trends where none exist you will be living under a bridge long before you reach my age.
Or, are you putting out BS bait for the kiddies to bite?
You youngsters listen up. No one can trade the current HFT stk mkts and not lose their azz...unless you think that you are smarter than the trading desks of the vampire squid on Wall St, stay clear, remain in a ready to deploy liquid position and deploy it only when real value presents itself... by real value I mean real value in almost ANY MARKET, be it commercial RE, commodities, bonds... but NOT HFT STOCK MARKETS.

I think it sets a really bad precedent. I imagine that the NASDAQ is going to get sued over this and they will probably lose.
They should not be making this call, if anyone has to, it should be the SEC. The nasdaq is a marketplace, not a referee.

Still don't get it do you? They make up the rules as they go along. A do over? No problem unless it was to the up side...then there would be no talk of a do over.
