My gold, platinum, and delta reserve arrived today.

Thanks to all in this thread.
I decided on the CSP for now. If the AEP bolsters their benefits during the year, I will look at it again.
I am going to try to retain my near gold elite status with Marriott - it will be tough but thanks to this board I now know about flyer talk forum. That board has taught me many tricks of the cc trade.
My bluebird card is on the way - and my CVS sells VR....i am ready to roll!!!

Anyone have any ideas how I can convert AA Miles to Delta Miles?
Posted on 2/5/14 at 7:55 pm to BACONisMEATcandy
Have you seen this site before? You'll probably lose some miles.
I have about 10k in delta miles, is there anyway for us to trade?

On another note, I picked up 1k in VRs today. Well on my way to meeting those spending requirements. Just need my Bluebird card to come in!

Sadly unless there is a mileage bonus (which they offer from time to time) the cost to transfer the miles out weighs the value of them.
And I do not have a diners club card... To be honest I had no idea they still existed

Heads up Delta folks:
quote:
As of May 1, 2014, the foreign transaction fee is waived for American Express Consumer and Business Delta SkyMiles Credit Cards (Gold, Platinum and Reserve) issued in the U.S. or PRVI. Card Members should start to receive notice of this change in their February statement.
Also happening May 1, EMV chip technology will be available on all American Express Delta Cards. After May 1, interested Card Members can call the number on the back of their Card to request a new Card with chip.

In other news, I didn't see my 7% bonus on my CSP statement today, so it may be next month.
Mine did not hit either.

Afro, in case you are wondering the 5x bonus for my one OTR purchase posted like it should.
Mine did as well and my 10% bonus for having a Chase Checking account hit too.

I have a Chase Checking acct as well. I did not know about this bonus. It's after 1 yr?

It applies to Chase Freedom. Do you have one of those?
ETA: This is why in theory your Chase Freedom is a better card to use on non-category spend over your CSP if you have a Chase checking account, since the CSP bonus is only 7% vs. Freedom 10%. Small but everything counts.

No, I misunderstood. I only have the CSP. Thanks for the clarification. I've learned so much in this thread

In other news, I didn't see my 7% bonus on my CSP statement today, so it may be next month. The time period of the statement covered 1/05/14 to 2/4/14 so maybe when they say "February statement" they mean the statement that covers the actual month of February? I'll try to remember to post here when it does post on my account.
Where would this show up on the statement, or what does it show up as? Additional points?

It is in your ultimate rewards statement summary.

Is it really as simple as it seems?
Order Bluebird card, buy vanilla at a store, load to bluebird and pay bills?
If so, I may do this. Read up some on it the other night. If I'm paying $600/month for rent, is there a way to write a check with Bluebird?
I normally just write a check with my chase account, but if I can get $600 in rewards per month just for rent, I definitely want to do that.

Yup. Works like a bank. I added my landlord as a payee and bluebird sends him a check.
No problems since last june
